Beta Competition Rules

01

Competition window

Round 1 trading opens Monday, May 11, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET and closes Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

You may sign up before trading opens (the "lobby"). Your competition account is provisioned at $100K paper, but order entry is locked until the start time. After the end time the leaderboard freezes and no further orders affect ranking.

02

Your account

On signup you receive one free $100K simulated trading account. It is single-stage (no eval), has no profit target, and no drawdown breach. Your equity can swing freely. You cannot purchase additional competition accounts.

Trading data, price feeds, and resolutions come from Polymarket. All settlements pay $1 for the correct outcome and $0 otherwise. P&L is realized when you sell.

03

Scoring

Ranking is by absolute realized P&L on your competition account during the window. Ties are broken first by more distinct trading days, then by earlier signup time.

You can either sell a position before the market resolves to lock in the current bid, or hold to resolution. Held positions settle automatically within ~1 minute of Polymarket reporting the outcome: winning shares pay $1.00 each, losing shares pay $0.00, and the resulting realized P&L is written to your leaderboard total just like any other sell.

04

Eligibility

To be eligible for a prize you must trade on at least 3 distinct trading days inside the window. A trading day runs 00:00 → 23:59 ET.

One account per natural person. Multi-accounting (creating more than one entry under different emails) disqualifies all associated entries from prize claims.

Residents of regions Bayes does not service may participate but may forfeit prizes if a real account cannot be issued in their jurisdiction.

05

Prizes

The top three eligible entrants at competition close receive free Bayes challenges:

  • Rank #1 · $100K Bayes Challenge
  • Rank #2 · $50K Bayes Challenge
  • Rank #3 · $25K Bayes Challenge

Prizes are awarded as free challenge entries. To convert a challenge into a funded account, the winner must pass the standard Bayes challenge rules (profit target, drawdown, consistency, minimum days). Challenges are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Winners will be contacted by the email registered with their competition account within 7 days of competition close.

06

Conduct

Exploiting platform bugs, automating order entry, scraping closed-book data, coordinating with other entrants, or any conduct intended to gain an unfair advantage will result in disqualification.

Bayes may, in its sole discretion, remove entries that violate these rules or otherwise act in bad faith.

07

Changes and final word

These rules may be updated until the competition opens; once trading is live, they will not change. The latest version is always published at this URL.

Decisions on disputes, including disqualifications and edge-case rankings, are final.
