Privacy Policy
Draft. To be reviewed by counsel before launch.
What this policy covers
This policy describes what tradebayes.com collects when you visit the site or send the contact form, why it is collected, where it is kept and how to ask about it. TradeBayes is in development; this site exists to explain the work and to hear from people interested in a partnership, an investment or becoming a customer.
What is collected
Two kinds of information reach us.
- Contact form. When you send the form, we receive your email address, the reason you selected if you chose one (a partnership, an investment, or becoming a customer), and the time the message was received. The form also carries two hidden anti-spam fields; their values are checked when the request arrives and are not stored.
- Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any hosting provider, Vercel keeps standard server logs for requests to the site, which can include your IP address, the time of the request and your browser’s user agent. These logs are held under Vercel’s own terms and retention.
Why it is collected
We use the email address and reason for one purpose: to reply to you. We reply by hand. Your address is not added to a mailing list and is not used for automated marketing sequences. Server logs are used to operate and secure the site.
Where it is stored
Messages from the contact form are written to Vercel Blob storage in a private store that is not publicly accessible. Access is limited to the people operating TradeBayes.
How long it is kept
We keep a message until it has been resolved, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept for as long as the hosting provider retains them.
Sharing
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties, except with the service providers needed to operate this site. At present that is the hosting and storage provider, Vercel, which processes the data on our behalf.
Cookies, analytics and third-party requests
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. It does load webfonts from Google Fonts and animation libraries from the jsDelivr content delivery network; when your browser fetches those files, those providers receive a standard web request from your browser, including your IP address, under their own privacy terms.
Your requests
To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, use the contact form and say what you would like done. We reply by hand to every request.
Changes and governing law
This policy will be updated before launch.
